Chapter III : 피어남(blooming)
The whispers of flowers
Flowers are the language of blooming. People look at flowers, but I look at the time it took for them to bloom.
The moment they broke through the soil, the seasons they endured through wind, sunlight, and rain—all of that time is held within a single flower.
I find myself drawn more to the stem than to the flower's face. The stem carries the story of the flower's life. I am more captivated by a quietly curved stem than by one that stands perfectly straight. Within those gentle curves are traces of endurance, moments of being shaken, and the strength to rise again.
The flowers in my paintings are not merely plants. They are portraits of those who have endured, grown, and continued to bloom. They carry their wounds, pass through the light, and ultimately bloom. Flowers tell the story of life in the quietest way.
